Meet Laurie Michaud Bird, M. Ed.
Laurie is passionate about education and has worked with students ranging in ability, learning profile, and age from early childhood through early adulthood. As a former Special Education Teacher, she has over 24 years of experience supporting neurodiverse students and their families.
Laurie’s devotion to teaching began when she volunteered in a local preschool. Her experiences with exceptional children inspired her to change careers and pursue a teaching license in Special Education and a Board Certification in ABA. As a special educator, Laurie had the pleasure of collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and parents to nurture student growth. She excels at organizing complex client and school information and at prioritizing tasks to keep the entire admissions process running smoothly. In her role as the Hall Educational Engagement Manager, she feels privileged to collaborate with our clients and team to support a calm and positive experience.
Laurie has a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree from the University of Maine and Post-Bacc of Severe Disabilities All Levels and Masters of Education degrees from Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts.
With roots in New England, Laurie fills her personal time with family and friends, skiing, snowshoeing, gravel and mountain bike riding, hiking, and DIY home projects.
